Constant Temperature Hot Wire Anemometry

RHRC introduces a new line of Hot Wire Anemometry products designed specifically for wind tunnel and water tunnel experiments. The Rolling Hills Research Corporation Anemometer can be configured as a single unit or can be packaged in a rack mount, which can simultaneously control up to 12 constant temperature anemometer channels. Each channel is manually tuned and has provisions for adjusting the overheat ratio, compensating for stray probe cable inductance and can alternatively amplify the raw anemometer signal by eight with a manual offset adjustment to maintain the signal within the voltage limits of the power supply. Each anemometer channel uses a 5:1 ratio wheatstone bridge and feedback amplifier to drive the probe at a constant temperature.
