RHRC
AWARDED NASA PHASE II SBIR
October
6,
2003 - Rolling Hills Research Corporation
is pleased to announce that it has been selected by NASA
Dryden Flight Research Center for a Phase II Small Business Innovative Research award. The
RHRC program is entitled "Robust Flow Control for Radically Enhanced
Natural Laminar Flow Wings." Dr. Michael Kerho will act as
the Principle Investigator for the program, which will draw on his expertise in
natural laminar flow airfoil design. The program will seek to radically
widen the NLF drag bucket using a robust flow control system. The widened
bucket will allow high altitude aircraft to carry more payload to altitude, or
more fuel to altitude for longer endurance.
